A couple of weeks ago I chopped my hair off…like over 6 inches of hair. For almost 10 years I have had a love/hate relationship with getting my hair done. I have not been able to find a stylist I love and trust. After I graduated high school I got a terrible haircut, and since then, I found it hard to trust a hair stylist. I have been bouncing from salon to salon until last September. Since I was getting married, I wanted to find a nice salon with great reviews that is up on hair trends. I ended up going to Dry Art located on Ashland Avenue in Lexington, KY. I fell in love…hard. In September I got a trim, and a balayage ombre treatment.

Cut to a couple of weeks ago and my hair was in desperate need of a change. It was long, stringy, dry, etc. I didn’t know what I wanted, but I knew I wanted something new. I mentioned to my stylist that I liked the look of the long bob, and she said that would be perfect for my hair because my hair is heavy and when it is long, it can look a bit thin. I put my trust in her. She had me put my chin down, she cut the angle, and then I lifted my head. My hair was gone. At that point I realized we didn’t exactly discuss length. My hair was shorter than what I would have told her, but it already had so much volume. Even though it’s shorter than what I was imagining, I really love it. I feel like it looks so healthy and has so much oomph and bounce. BONUS! It takes 10-15 minutes to style my hair compared to 30-45 minutes when my hair was long.
