Pro Sports Outlook enhances the way fans understand, consume, and engage with sports on a daily basis.
Rob Mason, Founder and President of Pro Sports Outlook, Inc.
What does a typical day look like for you?
My daily activities in the company are surely to change once we officially launch in 2019, but to prepare for this, some of my daily activities include, but are not limited to: Setting the daily schedule of content based on current news/transactions/injuries/etc., create all content for the prototype, establish and continuously update the team outlooks that will serve as the backbone of PSO content.
What inspired you to start your company?
My dad was a self-made entrepreneur which helped me learn a lot of the tendencies and mindset necessary to building a successful company. However, my passion growing up wasn’t in business… it was in sports! Ever since I was 4 years old, I was engaging with sports on a daily basis, and now it’s been over a decade and a half that I’ve been visiting multiple sports websites for hours every day. I’ve since realized that my ultimate goal in life is to improve the way people consume and interact with sports while also going down as the greatest sports content creator of all time. As I’ve created all these ideas to best produce NFL, NBA, and MLB content, it led to me recognize that the best path to accomplishing my goals was to first develop the favorite online destination for today’s generation of sports fans.
What’s your favorite thing about Virginia?
I’ve lived in Virginia for almost my entire life, and have grown up to see all the glorious places this state has to offer from the beaches to the mountains. The development of the NoVA area, VA Beach, and Richmond itself has been strikingly different than when I first remember. What I like most about Virginia has been its dedication to improve the infrastructure, entertainment allure, and now technological advancements to put Richmond, and Virginia as a whole on the map as one of the greatest states in America.
